So, you want to be an Online Superstar??

Well, maybe not exactly...

This module will walk through the different options at your fingertips to easily record and embed your instructional videos into Canvas. I've included written steps, screencasts and examples of what the recorded video looks like.

Fair warning! Some of the tools and workflows that are the easiest sometimes don't produce the best video. If you just need to record a quick message to your students with a webcam, any of the examples I take you through are perfectly suitable.

IF, however, you are dependent on your students being able to view a whiteboard or projector screen behind you, pay attention to the quality comparisons. Long story short - the poorest video quality comes with using a Chromebook camera using the Canvas Upload/Record Media tool. The best quality comes from using a smartphone with either the Google Drive or YouTube apps.

The next page is a Google Slide deck presenting the items in the following module pages. Your best bet is to head to the course Home page/module that lists each specific tool/method to learn about the method of your choice. Or, you can continue through using the 'Next' button at the bottom right of each page to learn about them all and choose the method (or methods) that will work best for you.

I hope these tools and pages are a big help. Follow through the pages in the module to go from easiest and fastest to a little more difficult but best quality.

Don't kill yourself making video perfect. We all make mistakes. Roll with them and just talk to your students like you (used to) do every single day.
